This Valleywide H&I Monthly Business Meeting is different than meetings that we find in the AA Meetings Lists and Directories. Typical AA meetings are scheduled to last one hour. Business meetings are conducted by committees adn we typically meet until the business is done. Please realize that the purpose of our Steering Committee is to focus on what ways we might conduct pertinent business in an effecient manner.

This month we spent $5,293.88 on 700 books, seven Navajo Big Books on CD and other AA Conference approved material. The budget allowed was $5,400. We also bought 100 SRI meeting lists – we ordered 200 but they only had 100. More will be ready next week. Please have your book order in by COB Wednesday July 25th.

3) Robert wants to combine Towers, Durango and Estrella because there are only two meetings in those locations – one English, one Spanish. Robert is willing to take on Lewis Coordinator.

AA meetings for the MOSIAC program at the Estrella Support Building

Both male and female volunteers are needed but must meet the following conditions to be eligible:

Chairs must have a current badge for at least 1 year and experienced (on a consistent basis) chairing meetings at the Maricopa County Jails.

All volunteers are required to be scheduled via the MCSO Liaison prior to chairing these meetings per Bridget Mack at MSCO and correction health services.

The additional criteria have been set by MSCO, given VWHI and ‘special considerations’ for volunteers outside these parameters will be denied.

Chairs are needed at Estrella on Wednesdays at 5:30pm.

These women have been keeping this meeting going for many months on a rotatig basis – they need support.

H&I monthly meeting was yesterday – current balance of ~$1600. They donate $100 for books each month. Hispanic H&I day is October 22nd at a church in Encanto.

Will have a complete report next month but all is well – meetings are still the same.

Two people can go in, they are not allowed to have two separate meeting spaces. One meeting, one meeting space. Shawns is taking over this position.

New meeting starting at Salt River DOC – only one going in now but second one is starting. That hould be started by next meeting.

Back to basics workshops began at Eyman Rynning, East and West, on June 18, 2018 and will continue through August 27, 2018. Graduation to follow to which approved visitors will be invited. Certificates will be issued. Inmates speak, coffee and pastries served, event is photographed.

Meetings have resumed at the Eyman/Rynning East Unit, meetings are scheduled to be resumed at Florence/East Unit within a month

Meeting schedules at the Pinal County Adult Detention Center (jail) have recently been substantially revised.

Hollywood actor Danny Trejo addressed the inmates of Florence North Unit on Friday June 29 2018. His second invited presentation.

We have moved our closed-circuit recovery material to ETV channel #35 in preparation for statewide broadcast pending funds available for the purchase of greater bandwidth. Current broadcast hours are every day from 8:00am to 10:00am, and 8pm-1am.
