Q. Again the date on the top shows Jan 2021? A. When I started the spread sheet that was the original date, but I have not changed it yet, and the balance on Jan 1, 2023, is correct. Q. Does the website have the address to mail donations to? A. Yes Q. Where can I find your reports? A. On the reports and docs on our vwhi.org site it should be posted after the meeting.
LITERATURE: Tim G | literature@vwhi.orgAttached/Computer Q. Why did we give 314or 384 books (not 12×12 or big books) going into Florence? A. The Florence Coordinator replied to the concern that it is not going all to the same place; he has multiple locations he is taking these books to. All inmates deserve to have actual books to highlight and to read if the internet is down or their permissions are not given to access the internet. Also, the Florence coordinator manages thePinal county Jail which was added this year to his duties.
AWARENESS DAY: Lu Belle D| awareness_day@vwhi.orgNothing going on looking for volunteers, Dona raised hand and Maria volunteered as well.
TECHNOLOGY CHAIR: Jose G | webservant@vwhi.orgHad issues with the hosting platform and was unable to post to it for a bit. But I The contact page was down I got it up and functioning within 48 hours, I resolved the issue when I figured out what it was. Later this year we hope to change our platform to a more updated and modern setup. When that happens, we will be able to get out of the 90’s and join everyone else in the 2024’s. I installed a few updates/patches to increase our security to prevent being hacked. Q. Will we have adequate storage, and will it be more expensive than our current one? A.Yes, each year we are doubling the storage and paying more where it would be cheaper to move to a new platform. This was cheap when first started but the storage is increasing, and we would expect to continue to add storage going into the newyear. Q. Do you know what the cost will be? A. We need to hold off on the comparisons at this time we are working on items on the back end before I can reveal the information once we have selected a good comparison, I will announce this later this year. Q. what do you mean by extra storage? A. we do nothave the capacity to do archiving that is needed to reduce our backups we do use the PDF formats to reduce the storage but if we had a better option to save our archives, we could have smaller storage feasibilities for example Microsoft’s Binary Large Object (BLOG), Document storage only.
TREATMENT CHAIR: Dona S | treatment_chair@vwhi.org Just did our first training we had many volunteers show up good questions asked. Had a slight problem with technology issues but Jose came to the rescue. an excellent group of people will be of service and will be placing a few tomorrows. Q. What does this training involve? A. We place volunteers into panels at facilities in the area and every other month we will be doing training The suggested way as GSO has requested and aiding in placing these volunteers into facilities (treatment) in valley area.

**Dona Nominated Felicia she presented her bio missing the sob date.4/2018 1st Jose and 2nd Timall in favor any opposed. Passed.
2. Retiring the community bridges positions until they contact us. No issues from the body
3. Update on church business meeting location.Kory updated us on the church’s decision to accept monthly payments.
4. When David stepped into the MCSO Position, he should have stepped out of the following coordinators positions: So, we need to elect new coordinators for the following:

Q. Is their meetings going into Watkins jail? I was told by my sponsor there were none in the last two weeks. A. Answer the previous coordinator just came back from a meeting at the jail with another person and they are on schedule to go every Wednesday. Q. What are the requirements for getting badged. A. The link is on our web page and Shawna or David will put it in the chat the link is:https://www.volgistics.com/appform/1209062215 Also, David stated he sent an email to all the people that have been badged before and has not received a response from 20 to 30 guys.He did a 2nd email blast and only had two responses and one is going in with him to the jail.
5. Kory Budget: Kory Shared screen with the budgetfor those online, explained the events that are budgeted for. Any expenses for anything will always come before the body. The budget is used as a guideline. Q. What is the rent for? A.U-Haul and the church are the rents. Q. What are the banking fees for? A. We use stripe for doing donations online. Which was the cheapest we could find at the time we started taking them electronically. Q. what is an individual contribution? A. It may be an individual that did not correctly reference their home group when they sent the donations. Explained the process if you arenew, she will send you various bits of information to get you involved with vwh&i and a report you can use to take information back to home group. ASCYPAA: Megan |meganmarie8003@yahoo.com Serving on the Lake Havasu big committee which is Phoenix basedwanting to take young peoples meeting into another remote community Which means they don’t have a lot of young people’s meetings there. We meet on the 2 and 4th Sunday of every month at Studio 164 at 2 pm. Nothing is happening in January, but I will be bringing flyers for our February event. I believe it is a valentine’s day dance the conference will be in Flagstaff this year in September. More to come on the dates. Q.I have been trying to get information online about meetings for young people. A. The best bet is to come to the meetings on the two and4th Sundays at studio 164 because there are not many meeting in the valley at this time.

Wednesday and Thursday have meeting set for the women’sside. Good attendance They do need another Chaplin or two.Mel manages the men’s section: The men’s side had facilitiesissues, so their meeting did not occur today.
ALHAMBRA | Van Buren & 24th St: Jay | alhambra_prison@vwhi.org Advised Bruce to call Ted Mollerfrom Tucson. He was able to get badged in three weeks for renewal and 6 weeks for new volunteers. Aspen and Alhambraunits. One meeting is on Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm and Friday at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 1:00 pm. The Sunday meeting is to introduce them to A.A. where to find it once they transfer to a new facility, we do the new freedom CD and the introductions from GSO we share a little bit on it. Also, the plan is to do the sponsorship letters and has a few people from the young people group. Jay is working in multiple directionsat once. Still having issues with my email so you can contact me via my phone or send a message to me at the chair email and she will get it to me.
JUVENILE CORRECTIONS: David | juvenile_corrections@vwhi.org The Juvenile facility that is run by the (state) DOC uses a program that conflicts with the A.A. program. Their program is of empowerment, and we know A.A. is the powerless kind. Q. What facilities have been contacted? A. I17 which is state run. Q. Would part of this position be acquiring new facilities? A. Yes, that would be a crucial part. After the pandemic Shawna and others tried reaching out to the multiple facilities but has received any replies.
LEWIS | Highway 85 & Patterson, Buckeye: Bruce. | lewis_prison@vwhi.org I am placing a meeting into the fourth of the five active units at Lewis We have 7 badges now I have more guy in the loop they have completed their applications Bruce has many volunteers waiting for badges. His goal is to have two backups for every unit that takes meeting in.
FLORENCE/Eyman | Highway 79 & Butte Ave, Florence: Bill/Pepe | florence_prisons@vwhi.org Meetings on Monday, and 3 on Tuesday, one on Wednesday on Thursday 2 different units which are going to be merged. One on Saturday, Florence west is starting a BSS which is a federal bureau of prisons. It islike a drug and alcohol abuse reentry house for after care.
Pepe, and one other has been through applied and fingerprintedMeadow’s island complex. A Spanish meeting will be starting next week. Tim, thank you for that literature. Had scheduled a meeting for Christmas: instant coffee and cookies but it was cancelled due to staffing shortages. He has since requested a new day, Jan 22 awaiting approval currently from the warden.Florence west has approved us to hang the 12+12 banners for the meeting waiting on someone from their maintenance department to aid. Thank you out to John Shannon for contributing those banners. Next month we have an annual appreciation banquet coming up. We always need volunteers. One is in the process at the Lu, not sure what the status is on that right now and she is not here anymore to answer that question.

Saturdays 6 pm -11pm this is for a co position if primary does not answer then the call is routed to the co position. Get a hold of Syndey at the office 1 yr. sob must have done the 12 steps and a little training. 81st Anniversary Service opportunities will be available, and the anniversary committee will be hybrid and are going to be at the central office Thursdays at 6:30 pm first one is on the 18th This event is set for May 4th at the American Royal Palace 19th Ave.& Thunderbird we intend to have 348 banquet seats a second room will be available for the speaker providing an extra 2 to 3 hundred chairs in a second room. Allison A from Surprise Arizona is going to be the speaker.7:30 pm the other item is the roundup and that meetings will be March 7th also going to be hybrid starting at 6:30 pm Since it has not started there is not a lot of info on it yet.
The 2023 alcathon had near record turn out between 1150 and 1200 joined.
After all the costs and donations cost ended up being 2041.00,they expect this to be the same for this year they have a good chair in Steve.
