The body had a discussion for the position. Its a general service liason. This position is responsible for raising awareness of Valleywide H&I with homegroups and AA members throughout the Valley. This position would visit ‘dark meetings’ that do not currently contribute to H&I through the pink can or do not send a homegroup rep to the business meeting. As a member of the Steering Committee, this position may form a committee, having a representative for the North, South, East, and West parts of the Valley, as well as a coordinator for Native American reservations.
Harold makes a motion to table the motion that Tom made to accept Harold by aclimation Ryan 2nd. Motion passes. You can take this back to your homegroups to fill the service liason position.

All state prison complexes and jails are closed indefinitely to visitors and volunteers.
Governor Ducey has ordered closing of the Florence prison complex. North unit is nearly empty. East and Central units (with the exception of Central unit Kasson and the execution chamber) are to close by year’s end. Death row inmates are being transferred to Lewis Morey unit and those dying of cancer are being transferred to Tucson. The closing process is slowed by COVID-19 testing prior to inmate transfer. South unit, an SO yard, is home to Arizona Corrections Industries (ACI) and will remain open. West unit, which houses DUI and RTC felons, is run as a private prison by GEO Group, Inc, and will remain open.
Due to COVID-19, the administration offers little help in soliciting inmate AA literature needs and thusly there has been a hiatus in bringing the message of AA into the prison. Hopefully the inmates are holding peer-led AA meetings themselves. We have been unable to ascertain such.
Our recovery TV channel #39, until now broadcast to all cells, is a victim of the virus and the Governor’s edict. While we once had two fulltime inmates to run the recovery channel, we now have none. Broadcasts have been temporarily suspended.
Good news! We hold a Zoom meeting, designated “Beyond the Razor Wire”, of released inmates every Saturday evening at 6:00 o’clock. If you’d like to join us, please contact me for the Zoom ID.
We have asked the Florence Warden for guidance in retrieving AA books, pamphlets, equipment and artifacts from closing units, fearful they may otherwise be discarded.
